Water Conservation Calendar Contest
Each year, a contest is held to select artwork submitted by Orange County Public School students. The winning entries are featured
in the Orange County Utilities Water Conservation Calendar.
Details
Orange County Utilities partners with Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) to create a Water Conservation Calendar featuring drawings and painted rain barrels submitted by students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Each August a call for art is announced to teachers in the OCPS system. The purpose of the contest is to engage students to use their creative abilities to highlight the importance of water conservation in their home and everyday lives. K-5th grade students may submit a 2-D art piece, and 6th-12th grade students may submit 2-D art pieces as well as painted rain barrels.
